Led by Senior Vice Provost William C. Nelson, Jr., the Academic Administration and Operations team in the Office of the Provost supports VCU’s Academic Enterprise in the areas of Faculty Recruitment and Human Resources, Academic Finance, IT Operations, Executive Communications and Academic Operations.
Our Team
Supports the faculty recruitment process, provides HR services, and coordinates executive searches.
Faculty Recruitment and HR
Supports budget creation, implementation and evaluation, and ensures units’ financial efforts comply with university financial policies, federal, state, and local policy.
Finance and Administration
Provides computer hardware and software support, IT asset management, and coordinates the onboarding process for new employees.
Information Technology (AOIT)
Builds collaborative community partnerships that support shared goals and contribute to mutually beneficial outcomes in communities
Community Engagement
Builds strategic partnerships that drive academic innovation, student success, and institutional impact
Innovation and Strategic Design
Provides leadership, resource management counsel, and programmatic oversight to the health sciences campus
